Students Welcomed Back for Extended School Year!

July 11th, 2011 marks the first day of Extended School Year at The Scranton School’s new campus in Clarks Summit.

During this span of three weeks, students receive additional instruction with the benefits of expanding the knowledge they gained over the past nine months.  This summer has one exception, students are also getting a “sneak peak” of the recently completed renovations. Teachers, maintenance staff and administrators have worked diligently since late June to make sure everything was perfect before students arrived.

The Scranton School’s new Director, Ms. Rebecca Gaw, greeted each child as they exited their vehicle.  “It is always exciting when students arrive on campus for the first time.  They get to see their teachers, friends and this time their new school!,” said Ms. Gaw.

The full student body will commence the 2011-2012 school year on August 29th. Please mark your calendar and join us on October 14th as we celebrate our New Campus Convocation and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
