American Sign Language Classes
The Scranton School for Deaf & Hard of Hearing Children is happy to offer American Sign Language courses at our new campus in South Abington Township. Participants will develop basic finger-spelling, vocabulary and grammar skills, and both ASL 1 and ASL 2 will be offered.
The six-week Community ASL Course will begin Thursday, Sept. 22, and be held each succeeding Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m., with 30 minutes of practice time until 9 p.m. The last class will be Oct. 27.
*Parents of enrolled students and families in our Choices for Children program will have the opportunity to take courses, free of charge, beginning Friday, Sept. 23, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
